austins thinking
there is a lot of thinking in this play all of hamlets crazy thoughts the plans that go on to kill him and find out why hes mad. even the grave diggers do a lot of thinking about odd ball things. it doesnt only seem that hamlet has problems getting his thoughts right. theres the to be or not to be think him thinking about killing clad why he is praying and what not the plan to kill hamlet is all about how everyone thinks to much and few just act
LA Guns and Hollywood Roses
Live and let live or live and let die? Which is the theme of Hamlet. Well defiantly letting live is NOT a prominent theme. Every major character, that isn't a woman, seems to want to kill an other character, or is in cahoodles with a character that wants to kill an other. And other than Hamlet's one 'emo' speech (to be or not to be), there is never any talk about any characters that wish death upon themselves. And we are not sure if Ophelia committed suicide or not.
Although, maybe it can be die and let die, because they all make a mends at the end of the play, when they're all going to die. But that can be because when your starring at imminent death, it's only human to accept.
Obviously, if any character was to be able to live and let live they'd also follow the rule of 'forgive and forget.' Maybe there's one character that does this and that's Gertrude. Gertrude seemed to very easily forget that her ex had died before she married her widow maker/ex's brother.
Hence, the theme of the book is live and let die. Such as all of Shakespeare's tragedies.

Themes in Hamlet
For the moment, I'm thinking aobut writing about some of the themes such as greed, honor, and love, found in hamlet and how those can compare/contrast on Hobbe's ideas on human nature.
essay topic?
right now i think my essay is going to be comparing and contrasting the similaretes and differences of fortinbras and hamlet. on how hamlet is all thought and fortinbras is all action. hamelt is always contemplating everysingle little thing does, and seems to over think things, fortinbras simply takes action on whatever he feels at the moment. might b a control issue.
Hamlet Essay: How Women are Treated
For my final essay about Hamlet I am going to write about how women were treated. I think that Shakespeare dislikes women and that's why he writes about how they are nothing and how they are here just to cook and bear children. So that's why I am going to focus on Ophelia and Gertrude. In the book, Hamlet treats Ophelia and Gertrude like dogs, and calls them whores and sluts. But obviously that's wrong women are just as equal or more than men, but in the play Gertrude is below the King and Ophelia is told that she is not good enough to marry Hamlet.
Maxs intresting ideas
Hamlet was a strange play yet with much irony and hidden messages. Basically the whole play is surounded by death. Also it had a certain darkness to it, the way hamlet talked sometime. Yet the play contains love, friendship, betrayal, treason. It would be almost impossible to look at the play, read it and understand everything. One could take years to figure out what shakespear really wanted tyou to feel and hear.
hamlet overview
Hamlet is a play revolving principally on the subject of inaction, the thesis being that inaction is negative action. Some may perhaps debate that it is a tragedy about love, however such an arguement is a fallacy most erroneous in nature. In the beggining Hamlet is quite disconsolate over the untimely passing of his father. In his state of discontent he is confronted by the ghost of his father, bestowing upon him such wisdom as to know the form of death that was his fathers demise. Subsequent to the discoverment of knowledge as abominable as such, young Hamlet is enraged, filled with the desire to have his uncles' life extinguished by his very hand. Hamlet is in such a downward spiral of depression that he contemplates the termination of his own existence executed by himself. All is for naught however, for he killn't himself upon the concievment of the idea that death may be less well than life, but he cannot know, for none who have died have lived to tell the tale. The play will later portray Hamlet seated bilaterally to Claudius, in Branaghs' moving picture rendition it is set in a confessional booth common in the catholic church. It would seem as though the hour is at stake for Hamlet to extract his revenge. With his Rapier in hand Hamlet contemplates the invasion of claudius' ear with his rapier, however takes no such action on the grounds that Claudius is praying and will then ascend to heaven if he dies at this particular time. Another portrayal of the inaction taken by Hamlet. This compilation of such inactions leads to the ending scene in which every main character has killed another and now they are all dying. Hamlets counter part Fortinbras rages through the door with his army. Fortinbras is a symbol in this book for assertive action.
luis thoughts of Hamlet
I'm going to compare Hamlet and Fortinbras. Hamlet was a prince that his dad got killed by his uncle and fortinbras his dad got killed by Hamlet's dad. they both want revenge in common, but hamlet thinks a lot and fortinbras dosent he acts he dosen't really think about it. In one part in the book hamlet realices that he has to act this happend when he saw fortinbras army fighting for a small piece of land but Hamlet was going to England. Fortinbras wanted to take over ELSINORE so gertrude had it to marry hamlets uncle to save her kingdoom but Hamlet got mad because of that so he called his mom a whore and stuff.
Some Hamlet Shinanigans
Through out the tradgedy of hamlet, the theme of suicide and death is seen many times. Although it is unclear to the reader how shakespear wants to portray the theme of death and suicide in the novel, you can easily see that there are many examples throughout the story. Shakespear interperets deaths in hamlet as suicides, murders and thoughts of death in ways that make the reader think. For example, Hamlets contemplaits suicide many times during the novel, but then ponders if death is better or worse than real life. The murders of many people during the book shows how rage builds up between people and the other main theme of revenge comes in. Shakespear also shows the idea of death through many characters. From the beggining scene with the ghost you can tell that during the novel the theme of death was going to be a big one.
hamlet
Shakespearer always has some of the best tradigies that have ever been made. In Hamlet 6 people die right at the end of the book. Most of the people wernt ever suppos to die but then the king and laredes plan back fires and they both get killed. Through out the whole book hamlet is debating weath he should kill or not. he kills people by just stabbing polonius through a curton. He just starts stabbing in the curton and dosent even care that he killed is girl friends dad. He has so much rage from his dad and just kills who ever he wants to. But this all started because of what is step dad did to his real dad. He killed him and then took his wife and his thrown. Claudeus was the reason hamlet was getting so enraged.
